I`m not an expert , i just read the forum !
I used only setool2lite for red (retail, commercial) phones. Tems is brown (research&developement) phone. Other security platform or whatever... I read now, specialists said, you can (here my info is confused!!) read out the gdfs from brown phones only with setool3 full version (included the setool3 box, which is one hardware device)...

Then, i don`t know how we can read out one original tems brown phone...
I heard one setool box is around 150 euro...
The simplest method is to go with the phone in one service who had this setool3 box and read out there the GDFS...

Other opinions ? 8-)

If you have SETool 3 Box (full version) you dont need to convert to CID 52 to flash TEMS (brown), use alternative security bypass.

...on full version if the phone is brown read GDFS is supported but write GDFS in bin format and write script is not supported (setool dont have needed db2020 brown cs loader/applet)...

I did not understand if you spoke in post 32 about K790 or K800.
You have experience in this ! Please clarify for me if is possible to read out the gdfs of K800 with setool3 full or not.
Because i planned also to read out 4 pieces of K800 tems phones...
I must travel to get them...
I want not to buy setoolbox if i cannot use it...

Yes read GDFS is supported (CID:49,51,52,53 Color: Brown and Red)

I want to use software tools without dongle (i want not to buy one only for this).
If i cannot with free tools, could i connect it to "i don`t know what server", to pay online and obtain the gdfs ?

Alt1:
Use Cruiser DB2020 GDFS Reader (free)
Free works on all phones DB2020, gdfs **** is encryptet or unknow encoded
You send gdfs **** to Cruiser and SETool user (me or...)
In Cruiser 13.20 im backup GDFS
Connect agen *flash MAIN and kill @ 25%*
Connect agen write my GDFS backup but disconnect dircet after GDFS format.
Connect agen write you GDFS **** to my K800 brune
swicht dongel
run setool make GDFS **** and send to you.

*flash MAIN and kill @ 25%* to make sure the phone not power on and write to GDFS

disconnect dircet after GDFS format to make GDFS empty

Hi x_xx6283 ! With the gdfs reader from the post below you can read out the gdfs from the original K790 or K800 tems phone ! You will obtain it in one encrypted format.

If you send the *.mdc file to simri2god he can restore it to be decrypted *.bin file. I will try also to read out some original tems phones gdfs, will post them, maybe somebody could find the activation algoritm.
