    Default Power Control -- Dynamic PDCH

    Power control can be implemented on TCH carriers only, BCCH carrier is not
    allowed power control but if a timeslot is dynamically configured to PDCH on TCH carrier how power control would behave in that case I mean how USF flag would be transmitted?????.....Thanks.......

    USF will be transmitted in maximum power
    power control is not applied in any PDCH timeslot whether its in BCCH carrier or not
    in GPRS/EDGE we have power control only in uplink

    so then why it is recommended to map PDCH on BCCH carrier??? if we have a clean TCH band for a cell wouldnt it be suitable to map static PDCH on TCH carrier or is thr any issue with that.....vendor is huawei....

    because PDCH will be transmitted in maximum power if we put in TCH
    but if we put it in BCCH then TCH carrier will be transmitted in regulated power
    this is only one of the reasons for keeping PDCH in BCCH carrier
    another reason is the case of activating SFH , in this case the speech quality will be good in TCH carriers although we have some bad quality , this bad quality will greatly impact the performance of GPRS/EDGE
