what is the difference between this version and the normal Wireshark version? why did you say it is proprietary to NSN?

Nice post. Which part or element of NSN is this usually used? SGSN, GGSN, HLR, STP, MSC? NodeB? RNC? Please give an overview

If you check out the 'plugins' folder, you can see many binary-only plugins that seem to be specific to this NSN version.

However, I am still convinced that NSN needs to release the source code to this. Wireshark is very clearly GPLv2, and the source code needs to be released even for plugins.

The difference is like here in nsn wireshark you can see all protocols like nbap and others while in free simpler version you cant see protocol messages just you can save. and cant analyse that deeply

Default IuB traces (was Re: Wireshark based 3G Protocol Analyzer)

Does anyone have some example protocol traces for the NSN WCDMA IuB-Interface? I would be very interested in learning more, especially about the FlexiWCDMA BTS during cell startup.

But any other NSN WCDMA IuB trace is also most welcome to me.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

That is why they use it only internally. If they officially give it to any operator,
this op. can request sources, and give them to me.

If I take wireshark, modify, and use: it is fine.
But, if I give it to anybody, I have to give sources as well.
