E******* RBS3116 sw upgrade to W10

All,

does anybody has a manual for W10 sw installation. I`m working currently with P7 manual, which should normally do the trick for sw installation:

1. format c2 and d
2. reload
3. ifconfig le0 (create new ip address)
4. reload
5. FTP new W10 software to CBU
6. reload
7. login with Emas

All goes ok till action 6. When performing reload, the CBU stays in constant reset:

Can someone help me out here and explain me what goes wrong so i can perform the next steps. Maybe someone has a commisioning/integration manual??

Dear Mate,

Are you sure, your RBS SW ok?
Usually when the CBU cyclic restart, it means your backup sw (clone) is corrupt.

Hi Jamal, thanks for reply. You could be right. I received the sw straight from the operator. Let me investigate...

The previous sw upgrade was on a non commisioned site. Will try to download the W10 on a commisioned site now. Will get back to you with updates.

btw: you don`t have by any chance an English upgrade procedure?

mmm... still doesn`t work: CBU keeps resetting. Just to be on the safe side: i`d uploaded P7 version sw: still in reset. I`m doing something wrong here...

Hi Marcel,

this is a software problem.. do you have a compleet C2,D and J Map, this is a compleet installed system.

First you need to format the drive and then upload these 3 maps. If you don't have these maps, upload it from other cabinet. copy/paste

got it working now.

You`re talking about a mirrorcopy of an existing RBS, i`m talking about new software from CD-rom.

But be aware W10 sw can be downloaded via FTP towards CBU, but when creating OAM file/script you will receive an error. You have to download W10 via the RNC. It`s a temporary bug, E******* is working on it...
