Help Required with location Update Procedure in GSM

Hi All ,

I need an urgent Help.

This is regarding Location Update Procedure in GSM. The Mobile station sends LU Message over the radio interface to the VLR/MSC. As per GSM 04.08 , the various fields included in the message include :


Protocol discriminator
Skip Indicator
Message type
Location updating type
Ciphering key sequence
Location area identification
Mobile station classmark 1
Mobile identity


Can I push in additional parameters other than these ?

Is there any provision for spare attributes that are otherwise not mentioned in the specification .
