    Default Overlaid not carrying traffic

expansion has been done on overlaid cell to increase the capacity

But handovers is not being taking place between underlaid and overlaid cell and neither overlaide cell carrying the traffic.

What could be the possible reason for that and is there any way to check this thing in drive test.

At first get reload on CF. If structure is MBC (Multi band cell) check LOl parameter.

If it is dual band try to shift BCCH to another TRX most probably there is faulty TRX

    Thanks a lot.

we are using multiband cell structure in which BCCH is at 900 (underlaid) while 1800 used as a overlaid cell to cater the required capacity.

I checked the LOL values which is 125db ( it is also the recommended value as referenced from Alex).

I have checked the TRX status throug (RXMSP:MO=RXOTG-xx); command they are operational.

There might be any other problem other than that?.

    Hi,

At first check the site configuration (same antenna height, dualband antenna, and same tilt). Whether everything is ok at this side, check the status of SCLD (Subcell Load Distribution). Whether the feature is activated try to increase the value of SCLDLUL for high value (ex. 80).

    Hi:
you can check the parameter ECSC (shoul be = yes) , check the intracell handover for this cell , if there is no HO attempts, you need to revise the intracell HO parameter using the command rlihp (for instance IHO=on,...) if there is attempts but high percentage of failure you have to sit with your support team to check the synchronisation between the two cabinets (symbtoms of synchronisation fault is the high percentage of SD drop due to other) , also you find when you diplay the cell resources, you find in many timeslote this status (SCSIG) which means this channel is busy with synchronization signaling.

CHeck Subb cell Load distribution ON/OFF. (E*******)

Check the SCLDSC parameter by Command RLLLP:Cell=’CELL-NAME’, if it “UL” then the call prioritize to UL (GSM900), you can change it to “OL” and the traffic priority will be in GSM1800.

Check the CSPSALLOC parameter and you can tune it to have the traffic priority in GSM1800.
