    Post NBAP_RL_Fail_IND

    Dears,

Your help is appreciated in the below case:

After Enable PS BE state transition for both R99 & HSDPA services, many PS drops appeared during transition to FACH state, IOS trace showed the following:

RNC>UE RB reconfiguration then NBAP_RL_Fail_IND and failure cause is Synchronization-Failure.

RF conditions are not bad, last RRC_meas_repts were showing EcNo= -6, -9.5, -8db and min RSCP=-95dbm

RNC & NodeB are Huawei RAN12, Would you please share your ideas?

    thanks.
    regards,

    Hi,

What about UL direction? This message means that NodeB has lost sync in the UL and connection failed.

    HI,

really many possible reasons - faulty hardware, path balance issue, bad
    coverage, high RTWP and etc.
Do a CDT trace/Drive test and see whether something will not pops-up.

    Hi Sala7

I remember we had the same problem when we enabled the PS state transition with RAN10.
my action was to disable this switch and everything become OK.
so it will be very nice to analyze this problem together here.
    Have you done a DT/CDT?
    Can you provide the Trace?

Moreover I don't have the LMT/Trace viewr for RAN12.. If you can upload it I will be very greatful

    regards,

Something else, generaly speaking it is quite normal to have small increasing of PS drop after transition activation and enabling Cell_FACH state where there is no gain from soft/softer HO, limited power, no power control and etc. Are your PS drop call rate within acceptable values anyway?
