recently we are getting a lot of 2G call drops with description below:

Normally these are software bugs... seen lots of these

most probably inter-vendor equipment configuration/settings incompatibilities...

need to revisit hardware versions/firmware/software installed; as different vendors have different HW/SW features and capabilities; when there is an upgrade in a vendor's equipment, the other vendor's equipment need a similar upgrade as well addressing the other vendor's upgrades/updates - a disadvantage of a network with equipment/s supplied by different vendors.

Hi Raid75,
Is it on some specific cells, or it is across a whole BSC. There was release of E******* DRUs of the 2116 RBS type that had manufacturing defects that were detected only after reaching operators. The drop reasons were primarily due to low signal strength (because the DRUs were not transmitting correctly) and the HO performance also degraded at the same time.
