    Default DPU & SPU boards

    Hi friends,

Someone, has an idea about how NodeBs are declared on the RNC side (Subrack)?

Is in the SPU that we define NodeBs? Did the DPUs in one subrack treats the NodeBs traffic in dynamic way? or each DPU board treat a defined NodeBs?

    Regards

Each NodeBs will be handeled by home SPU, which is configured on it.
Regarding DPU, in a subrack each cell will be handeled by a DSP, you can check it using the command DSP CELLCHK, if you deactivate then activate the cell again , it would be handeled by another DSP.

Maybe the DSP in that DPU is corrupted. you can check the status of the DSP with the command DSP DSP.

    Thanks and rep. are welcome..!

Kouka. the SPU in the Huawei system has diferents funtions.. in each SPU board has 4 subsistems and you can (Theorical) add as maximun 25 Nodes B and you need to make come balanced between it.

But you need to know that ONE SPU board in each Subrack has the MPU... Only in this SPU Board you has 3 Subsistems. the other one works as MPU.

DPU board.. has manage traffic near to 96 Mbps in R10. If you has Alamrs like DSP CPU OVERLOAD.. maybe you dont have enough boards in you RNC and you need to do migration or add more board.

I hope it is userful for you.. if not tell me

    Regards..

How to dimension RNC SPU boards? Now we have 70 NodeB and 4 SPU board(2 is main 2 is standby). Also I wanna to use next carrier. Is it affect SPU CPU? How many SPU and DPU needed?

Hi, i have this document that is very useful. In it explain the calculation to SPU & DPU and the capacity is depend which RAN do you have. May be you need to ask to Huawei wich is the real capacity of your boards.

Read and try to traslate to Excel to future uses.

I hope it is useful for you.

    Another question, let me know.

Hi, we have DPUe and DPUb; the difference are DPUe(in BSC6900, supports UL+DL 335Mbps), DPUb(in BSC6810 supports 115Mbps). There was one case i experienced whereby when DPU board overloaded you may see the alarm "Resource overload on the userplane", but beware that you cannot evaluate this type of "congestion" via counters "VS.DSP.USAGEPeak". From this you may need to check you GBR settings, no. of DCHUEs, and which Qos profile they belong to. Hope this helps.
