understanding interference by kpi's
is there anyway to found out there is interference on network by kpi's?
any algorithm to go?

It could be more interesting on both

Re: understanding interference by kpi's
IOI (Interference On Idle mode) should be used in NMS to monitor the interference.

Suppose you meant external interference so:
For UL:
GSM - > Interferience on Idle statistic
UMTS -> RTWP statistic and Real-time monitoring(vendor specific).
For DL is harder but of course if you have external interference your other main KPIs like drop call rate, UL BER, SQI and etc. will be affected as well so there are many indications for that.

Eg : KPI vendor NSN.
in KPI : qo_Uplink or q0_Downlink, can you known this cell is interference ? or orther name KPI ?

there is tow kind of the external interference UL/Dl :
1- Ul you catch the UL interference By Stats (IOI) interference on Idle Mean) . and there are 4 cases on this
· internal interference :the magnitude of IOI "interference "will be changed with the traffic
· external interference the magnitude of the IOI will be continues and very high
· Hardware problem that means there is problem in the hardware and at this case the path balance will effected
· external interference on the cell due to effect of the repeater and at this case you will no see any effect on the IOI but this will be reflected on the path balance only
2_ DL interference you can get Bit error rate

Re: understanding interference by kpi's
Hello guys,
Is there any method to distinguish between internal and external based on handover types statistics?
Thanks
