HO Failure

Hi, folks!

I have interesting question.

I have few HO failures. Cause value: Handover impossible, timing advance out of range. This is NSN vendor without common BCCH feature. This HOFs appear when I'm near Cell and MS want to do HOff from 1800 to 900 band (and 900 to 1800) in the same cell. Who can say to me, where is the problem? What should I change in network configuration for remooving this problem?

HO in same cell ? It mean that you deploy 900 & 1800 together ( Multiband ) or separate ( Multilayer)?

Now it's clear. That failures coused by synchronization bag in soft between 1800 equipment and 900 equipment on thesame BTSs...

Hi,
I saw that you have been dealing with HO Impossible, TA out of range problem.
Can you, please tell me did you solve it and if yes, then how?
I am asking because I am also dealing with the same problem and I can't understand why Inter-Cell HOs sometimes happens as Sync instead of Non-Sync.

just see what parameter setting then make discrepancy task to solved this problem instead of bag on software release

Could you, please, explain a little bit further? With parameters I should look into? Problem appears in all cells (If MS in BTS A Cell A reports BTS A Cell B and BTS B Cell C and HO is initiated to BTS B Cell C then HO CMD is sent as SYNC with is wrong and it happens to all BTSs and all Cells if HCI looks as described abowe)
