    Default HSUPA 5,7 Mbps

    Hi,

Using an UE which supports 5?7 Mbps in UL and activating HSUPA TTI 2 ms on the RNC side, I did'nt get more than 2,6 Mbps. Is there other setting to be changed on Huawei RAN.10 to reach 5,7 Mbps.

Yes there is! you need to activate SRB over HSUPA in order to free codes for higher rates. Be advised however that it is a licensed feature you need to have in order to turn it on.

    Thanks,

Is there another method to free codes ? I found that SRB over HSPA increases the drop PS considerably.

No, there isn't. You wouldn't reach higher throughput without multiplexing srb on hsupa channel.

all related nodes in the CN must support it as well - hardware, software, licenses and etc...

In NSN network there is a parameter Maximum target received wide band power for BTS witch default value in some case can limit the maximum HSUPA throughput. It should be changed to higher value. May be Huewei has something the same.

    1. check HLR's profile for the USIM whether the UL supports 5.7 Mbps
    2. check SGSN and GGSN QoS support UL 5.7 Mbps
    3. check RNC and NodeB license for supporting 5.7Mbps
    4. check SRB over E-DCH switch
    4. check IuB transmission configuration supporting 5.7Mbps for SCR, RCR and PCR, make sure that the configuration between RNC and NodeB is matched.
