User Priority and ARP
Dear Gentlemen,
Do you know how exactly one User Priority is mapped on different ARPs in the RNC i.e if we have settings in the RNC that User Priority 3 from the CN is mapped on ARP from 11 to 15, what value from the ARP range will be allocated by the RNC?
The same question for Traffic Handling Priority?
Thank you in advance.

Re: User Priority and ARP
Hello mate, in HLR you got the different tipe services, you got different services with different traffic classes, arp , thp, and time delay. Now thats on HLR on SGSN you map one value depending on what you hlr then SGSN send this value to RNC and RNC makes its own mapping depending on this.

Re: User Priority and ARP
It's like that for sure. The question is how the RNC makes this mapping of User Priority from the CN to different ARPs values. So if you have 3 for User Priority in your RANAP RAB Message from CN which corresponds to ARP from 11-15 (for example) what exactly value will use RNC from the range - 11,12... or 15?

Re: User Priority and ARP
Well so the SGSN makes the query to HLR of ARP, THP and TC based on the user QOS. With this values SGSN will check its table and would say ok the RAB ARP will be this one, so this value will be send on the RANAP RAB ASSIGNMENT REQ. This value ranges from 1 to 15, and is the one the RNC will use for DIFFSERV qos mapping. In Huawei this is set on SET USERPRIORITY, ARP1 to 5 is gold, 6 to 10 is silver, 11 to 15 is copper. But the RNC will map this based on the value the SGSN gives to him like a dummy thing.
