conversion of SRTM in order to use them in Atoll

Dear Experts,

I Have the DTM file SRTM format and i want to use them for the planning of a new netwok with Atoll
i tried to use Gloppal Mapper in order to convert SRTM format to "Tif" format and i success to import the result to Atoll but i Have a problem in projection also in resolution (it's not the same as Global mapper)
Anybody have an idea how to convert to the right format in order to use Atoll?
How to creat Index file ...
