Hi,

Imbalance btn the UL and DL can be determined by means of performance statistics. Depending on which BSS vendor in use, there are counters for pathloss statistics per cell on each of UL and DL.

The difference in pathloss between UL and DL is what determines the extent of imbalance.

In Huawei BSS, for instance there are counters for UL and DL balance which give a number of samples at 11 different intervals of pathloss difference.

Pathloss measurements in E******* BSS can be determined easily by way of MRR recordings on the OSS-RC.
