    1) Is there any tool or plugin to measure the bearing in google earth?!

    2)how to convert jpeg to kmz and vice verse ?!
    I found a site has a similar tool bur couldn't find the installer:

    1) there was a port some time ago with Google Earth tools etc ... I think there was a protractor tool in there, if I can find it I will let you know.

    should have said:- there was a "post" some time ago with Google Earth tools etc

    this looks good as well and it is supposed to work in GE http://www.iconico.com/protractor/ it must be "out there" somewhere on the web

    or try this, it is supposed to work over GE, will give it a try myself now

    2) as for importing jpg, png etc into GE, as long as they are lat/lon and WGS84 and you have the four N, E, S, W corner coordinates you can add an image overlay into GE , play with the transparency etc and then save it as a kmz file (which is just your raster file and kml file in a compressed format).

    Global Mapper can also do this for you and will generate kml or kmz plus tile the image to make it work better in GE ... plus you can change the projection and datum very easily in GM

    Many thanks for that, I tried the tool off this site http://www.markus-bader.de/MB-Ruler/ it is worth a look at, very capable but you need to look at help file and figure everything out. PM me if you want some help with doing the jpg to kmz conversion
