This document shows the impact of different handover parameter settings on the performance of a mobile assisted UMTS-GSM handover algorithm. Mainly a trade-off between blocking of GSM calls and dropping of UMTS calls can be observed. Furthermore, the influence of the user's velocity and the loading of the UMTS network on the handover parameters are investigated.
