Release Announcement Overview

Ascom Network Testing announces the release of TEMS Pocket 8.1.
Based on the HTC Touch Pro2, TEMS Pocket 8.1 is a powerful handheld data collection tool. This release supports both CDMA and GSM/UMTS on a single device. This smartphone solution is built on the Windows Mobile operating system. TEMS Pocket 8.1 provides a modern platform for data collection with a touch-screen user interface that also functions as the user's normal phone.
New in this release:

Multi-technology support on a single device
New voice and data views
New additional command sequences including SMS and WAP
Enhanced outdoor mapping function
User-definable markers
Screen capture

TEMS Pocket 8.1 supports multi-technology - this is the KEY feature for me!

P.s. Also I'm interested in touch-screen usage experience...
