Re: MTP3550 & MTM5400 NOT SWITCHING ON
Try Tools...Restore Permanent Disable V2 Radio...I got it like this with my MTP 3200!
Re: MTP3550 & MTM5400 NOT SWITCHING ON
But see the option mr Bup first, as he has more experience than I do!

Ok, thanks I have managed to build one. Then from there? there seems to be a file that i need to have because when i try to "detect radio via RS323' it says i must start from ; tools>freon UART> then browse for certain file
Re: MTP3550 & MTM5400 NOT SWITCHING ON
Freon UART recovery instructions:
PIN 6 = Flash pin on rear, disconnect power from radio and apply +12V from same PSU as radio is connected to pin 6 on accessory connector with programming lead attached (just go through accessory connector or add another pin)
Start CPS+ Depot
use FREON UART HOST
Custom secure
under AIS file select attached bin file
DO NOT CLICK wait for bootme
when you click START as soon as you press it apply power to radio, timing essential, radio should scroll down messages in window then say DONE, if not keep trying the procedure.
Then you can use "detect radio on rs232 port", write entire codeplug to radio, then write appropriate firmware

Look in the directory where cps depot was installed, bin folder...Look there...maybe it's in the c disk!
