new rules - becoming a senior member and putting password

Hi,

I am having a little trouble trying to understand all these rules.

As a newcomer, I cannot share or access materials here, only ask for software support?

My interest here was mainly on the books, not so much on simulation and/or troubleshooting software.

What is the difference between "Add Reputation" and "Thanks"
This does not confuse users?

Dear Admin,

I have fulfilled all the requirements as per rules to become a senior member.

Thanks means that you appreciate the user's post.
Add Reputation you increase the user's reputation respect your reputation power.

Is there any further change in rules for becoming Senior Member ?

I seem to be confused as I have been downgraded to a "member" status even though the rules for becoming a senior member suggest that I am still qualified to be a senior member as my reputation, number of posts made and finetopix join-date are respectively 384, 358, and January 2010.
Although, I had been away from finetopix for about 6 months, (which I suspect might have been the reason for this), for real-life work reasons, I nevertheless think that I still meet the rules.
Kindly intervene.

I dont understand some of the terms used here. For example, what does med imply? and also PM??
