Outdoor Wifi Link planning in ATDI
Hi all,
I am trying to plan the outdoor link in ATDI using Ubiquity 2.4 PowerBeam link.
For test purpose distance i selected is quite short 2-3km.
Attachment 44212
Configuration for Links are as below:
Attachment 44213
Attachment 44214
Attachment 44215
However, when i check link budget it shows that link reliability is not good.
Attachment 44216
Please, advice what am i doing wrong and how to approach such task in ATDI.
Thanks in advance

Re: Outdoor Wifi Link planning in ATDI
I find it helpful when working with links to display the antenna azimuth. This is done through "Objects" > "Object properties" and putting a tick in the "Display azimuth" box.
It will then have an arrow for each antenna showing the azimuth.

Yes but the bottom right arrow doesn't look totally correct. Both ends of the link should have a blue arrow that points to the other site.
When you have the profile displayed, go to Options on the right hand side and click on report. Note the azimuth for each station in the top section of the report. These values should be the ones used in the azimuth setting of the patterns for each site - make sure you use the appropriate ones.
An alternative is to click the "Display horizontal pattern" in Object properties as it shows the antenna pattern. Also a nice way to ensure you have the correct type of antenna i.e. directional or omni
