Important experience to be shared

We have a re-farming project from GSM 1800 to LTE so we need to keep 5M bandwidth for GSM and the rest of the band for LTE. Our costumer needs an initial expectation of 2G KPIs degradation? So any one has such experience project, document, or even a method of how we can expect such results!

How vendor equipment you use?, whether the synthesized Hopping on the network?, which tool plan frequency channels?

E******* Frequency Optimizer, ex Optimi can do this, you can build a project with the desired configuration "putting only the remaining frequencies for 1800", generate a new plan " following the whole process", once your get the new plan you can run the FPGM which will show you comparaison between your baseline configuration and new one.

do you have any such experiences so you share with me your results (means how much the kips have been degraded) cause this is a tool at the end, and for us unfortunately we may need to add such threshold in the contract!

Look, refarming process is very tedious - you cut a large part of the radio spectrum, and obviously increase the interference, increasing the DCR.
In order to avoid degradations requires:
1. Implement a synthesized Hopping (smear interference, improve KPI)
2. Plan a new frequency plan only on the basis of "live" mobile measurements (Mentum not suitable for this purpose)
3. Before the implementation of the evaluation process to produce the alleged degradations.

PS: Do not forget to change external_cell in UMTS (degradations of IRAT_HO)
