Channel Type: Dynamic PDCH

What's the importance of having Parameter Channel Type with Settings of Dynamic PDCH

While we already could enable Dynamic PDCH conversion using: MAXPDCHRATE
even if we don't have Channel Type with Settings of Dynamic PDCH

Could you be more specific in your post? what's the actual problem?

If you set MAXPDCH to a large value, the KPI of CS domain will be degraded

you can set channel type to EGPRS preferred so that you let MS with GPRS&EGPRS access to network and related to MAXPDCHRATE just increase dynamic PDCHs where you have less CS traffic .
