Maximum SD limitations

Dears,

Please advice..
- Is there any limitations about the maximum number of Static SD that I could define Per TRX?
- Is there any limitations about Idle SDCCH threshold N1 & Cell SDCCH Channel Maximum that I could define Per Cell?

Haven't tried it myself but someone told me that, there is no limit on defining all the TS of a TRX as SD in Huawei. However, due to LAPD concentration used on Abis if you define more than two SD on a TRX than you may get LAPD link congestion alarm.

For the second part, I guess the same thing applies that there is not limit set by Huawei in defining or dynamically converting SD TS.

As I remember BCCH TRX can have no more than 2 SDCCH.

Common recommendations:
1 ... 2 TRX - 1 SDCCH
3 ... 4 TRX - 2 SDCCH
5 ... 6 TRX - 3 SDCCH
Dynamic SDCCH function should be enabled also.

In siemens u dont have any limitation in TRX.u could define a TRX full of SDs.

BUT TCH_SD can be provided in 6 & 7th slot or at intail slots.
