You can check the external interference from KPI's (IF Band)
All the samples should be located in IF Band1

Hello, external interfernce can be investigated with a spectrum analyser with sound and video demodulation capability, band pass filters and you need to connect all equipment to BTS received antenna. This is quite expensive solution. However you can check again carefully the possibility of internal interference. Interference cells could be Kms far away especialy if the site located in coast line. Other solution is to switch-off the site and to perform scanner measurements (BSIC decoded) near the site, so you can see the Rx level of BCCHs which arrives to the interefered area.

hi KASDIR,

As u said, nearby sites are 900 MHz Band, maybe u could check ur TRX one by one by Manual Block and check if KPI will Improve. Isolate each TRX. Is it 1 sector only or all sectros are interferred as u said? since u didn't specify it.

Check idle band for that cell. Also you can use a scanner and drive test. Cause also might be some jammers from jails, theathers, etc.

Hi, you should check icmband (if there is an external interference you will have icmband 4 or 5). RSSI is also useful (if there is an external interference you will have RSSI > -90 dBm or -80dBm).

Are you using EGSM Band or not?
Does the the HO due to UL Quality increased?
Dose the UL Quality per TRX is bad (For 900 or 1800 TRXs)?
