NSN 3G FSMB+FSMD Interworking problem?

Hi All,

Does anyone has FSMB+FSMD in 1 site.
I got lot of problem on combine FSMB and FSMD in 1 site, looks like this configuration still has problem since FSMD always has alarm and i need to restart the site then the alarm disappeared.
But when i use 3 FSMB instead of 1 FSMB+FSMD so there is no problem.
Does anyone know this issue?

when u have FSMB+FSMD issues, you need to declare FSMD as a master and FSMB as slave when u r doing comisionning.

FSMB and FSMD are Core Module for Node-B Equipment
(NSN)

We usually do replace Module FSMB to be FSMD...

but the lack when use FSMD as Master
FSMD dont have a default CE
so we cant do test call after commisioning
except The OMC crew always standby to inject licenses :)
and it is our issue...

it need some hours making the Node-B service after commisioning

Nabil, do u have legal document that can explain this issue ??

We're also using FSMB+FSMD. We didn't find any problem. I found doc from NED related to FSMx. Please check it.

technically, this config is possible
but the fact, same with gprastomo
after some days...arise alarm
and clear after do restart..

Please tell me which alarm appeared? For 2nd carrier sites we implemented 2xFSME. Single carrier sites depends of CE Util, we implemented FSMB+FSMD, 2x FSMD

Hello This is the alarm :
Active alarm 7651 BaseStation Operation Degraded have direct impact to HSDPA Accessibility performance specialy in 2nd carrier sites, the main problem can be found in Transmission and Radio, detial as follow :
Increasing the AAL2 rejection in VC 56
Decreasing the Channel Element (CE) number

FAULT NAME : System Module failure
DESCRIPTION : The FlexiBTS has detected an abnormal operation or a failure in the System Module internal functionality.
INSTRUCTIONS :
1. Reset the System Module.
2. If the reset does not help the fault situation, replace the System Module.

FAULT NAME : Telecom configuration failure
DESCRIPTION : FlexiBTS a unit RNW configuration failure. A telecom RNW reconfiguration failure.
INSTRUCTIONS :FlexiBTS in case of a FR, the unit needs to be
blocked/unblocked to get it initialised/configured again if
there was an internal failure.

The latest one is FSME which has the CE = 612. Please note that if you have FSMD + FSMB then the software should be 266. If there is FSME then the software should be 279.

Please decribe the problem description? What kind of problem are u facing? Master should be FSMD or FSME, always remember the latest one should be kept as a master !!

Yes not possible. Flexi support maximum 2 extension Modules.
