Some test tools developers claim that their mobile handsets can test speech quality and show the MOS score. However, as show in this attached "fair" application note of one of the best-known portfolio, say Ascom Qvoice, with handsets only, the MOS will be based PSM algorithm. So, it turn out that for PESQ-based MOS score, you need full complete benchmarking tools, not just the handsets only.
