Dear all friends,
Which recommendation you suggest to be used for reliability calculation in MW radio links? ITU-R P.530-8 or ITU-R P.530.9?
I think that ITU-R P.530-8 is the stringent one. Am I right?
If I use ITU-R P.530-9, will MW radio link has problems?

Looking forward to hear your response.

Best Regards,

Mohamad

Dear frineds,
In my link planning, when I use ITU-R P.530-9 for reliability calculations, fade occurance factor is 1.82*10^-4. So SESR objective will be satisfied by use of 1.2m antenna. But when I use ITU-R P.530-8, fade occurance factor will be improved to 9.68*10^-4 therefor I should use 2.4m antenna or space diversity antenna to satisfy SESR objective.
It is very big and important difference.
Please guide me to choose between 530-9 and 530-8.

Thanks a lot,

Mohamad
