not sure if i understood well,
but you are using excel to import data into a db?
if that is the case, just try to update or add to excel an ODBC connector respective to whichever db engine you are using. (and initialize it accordingly at the vba code)

I had the same problem on my laptop. The reason was bluetooth driver.
If you have bluetooth - just uninstall driver and software.

To disable the annoying "Send An Error Report" message in Windows XP

which sends a report to Microsoft every time a program crashes

Follow the steps below:

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel

Click on -> System icon
Click on -> Advanced tab
Click on -> Error Reporting button at the bottom of the window
Select -> Disable error reporting radio button.
Click -> OK and OK again

No problem,
it's pleasure for me to share experience.
I spent two weeks in checks and software install/uninstall to identify a problem.
One more advice - search torrents for cra***d version of IVT BlueSoleil bluetooth drivers - it's works perfect with any bluetooth hardware.

Thanks a lot my freind, uninstalling the bluetooth driver solve the problem

now, I want to use my bluetooth without facing any problems with Excel,

I tried to install IVT BlueSoleil bluetooth driver but it told me that there's no bluetooth hardware :confused:, so it was necessary to re-install the bluetooth hardware driver and again face the same problem with Excel

so, what do you see my friend?
