good morning, sorry for the delay in responding, from my experience I meant that if you are going to use the equipment in dmo, the programming is more or less simple, but in tmo and the ham environment they are very complicated, for me I consider that they are very professionals, but if you already have experience with them, great, I had a thr9i and I had to sell it because the correct programming software was very expensive and nokia phoenix allows you to program it but with errors, regards

I have experience.
Eads radios are the best portable radios.
Especially thr880i or thr880ex.

I totally agree with that, especially if we don't want to hear every station.
The 880-series has the worst reception characteristics of all the radios used by our organizations (Nokia-Cassidian-EADS, Sepura, Motor0la).
I think, the cause of their deafness with great probability is the small antenna.
With newer generation devices with longer antennas, this is no longer experienced (THR-9).

Hytera PT 790Ex -59 dBm
THR 9Ex - 55 dBm
THR880 i - 54 dBm

I do not have M0t0r0la Radio at the moment.
No problem with reception characteristics!!!!
THR 880i has the best signal of three radios
