Dear forum community,

as some of you may know, I'm the lead developer and founder of the Osmocom (https://osmocom.org/) project, an open source project that implements pretty much every network element in a GERAN network, such as BTS, BSC, MSC, HLR, MGW, SGSN, GGSN, CBC, SMLC, ... as open source software.

Our OsmoBSC (https://osmocom.org/projects/osmobsc/wiki) supports BTSs from different vendors (Siemens, Nokia, E*******, ip.access, sysmocom, ...) and we recently significantly improved the support for RBS6000, specifically DUG20 which are widely available on the refurbished market.

We are just about to add VAMOS support to our BSC, and while the 3GPP specifies the air interface aspects of VAMOS, it does not specify the Abis/RSL related modifications.

It would be very helpful if anyone could provide a protocol trace of the Abis interface between any E******* BTS and BSC with VAMOS activated. This protocol trace would help us to implement this feature in OsmoBSC.

We can work with Packet Abis over IP, PacketAbis over TDM or classic channelized Abis traces. PacketAbis over IP is for sure the easiest to capture with tcpdump or wireshark as pcap file. by the way: I also developed the wireshark dissector for PacketAbis/IP, to make sure everyone can properly analyze such protocol traces.

Thanks in advance for your help!
