Dear friend
We have modified pbpa from 1,-3 to 0,0. Resulting we have observed +45% Throughput gain with 10% data volume increment .

But we didn't change RS power ratherthan we have increased one 20W power license in LTE as there were headroom for RRU to use power.



Kindly support to know the reason for which factor Throughput has increased.

That would be really helpful for me if you help at earliest!

Could you please share your charts of improvement.

reason of improvement is that new setting provide more power for PDSCH (data channel)

it was optimization tuning ,Huawei Default value is (1,-3)

I understood you are turning Power boost of on reference symbols.
It is normal for thoughput to increasea, as you have more power available for PDSCH, that carries the data.

I understood you are turning Power boost of on reference symbols.
It is normal for thoughput to increasea, as you have more power available for PDSCH, that carries the data.
In umts if we reduce CPICH and improve HSDPA power throughput increased but EC/no decreases..Likewise what will be the advert effect in this case.

With Pb=0 it meant you are no more power boosting.
You kept RS power same i think to keep the coverage intact as before.

Remember these tables you can see by setting PB=0 there is no increment on CRS RE but PDSCH power increase to 5/4 resulting in improvement in throughput.

in our network, for example, we have b3, 20 W power, and config is RS power 152, Pa -3 Pb 1. If try to change Pa and Pb to 0;0, it makes error RRU power limit exceed, so need to use PaPb calculator from FMA. But if try to make 0;0, i also shoud reduce RS power from 152 to 122, so i lost coverage

in our network, for example, we have b3, 20 W power, and config is RS power 152, Pa -3 Pb 1. If try to change Pa and Pb to 0;0, it makes error RRU power limit exceed, so need to use PaPb calculator from FMA. But if try to make 0;0, i also shoud reduce RS power from 152 to 122, so i lost coverage

here you can calculate the ReferenceSignalPwr value. your value RS power = 152 is correct, for Ra = -3 Pb = 1.Do you have a description of eRAN16.1 in hedex format?
