Intra-site handover (for example when you hand over between different cells of a sector, or different sectors of a site) is completely internal. This means you will not see any activity on the S1 or X2 interfaces, and you dont need to define any X2 interfaces for this to work. You only need the interfreq and/or the intrafreq neighbors defined for this to work. The only interface you can catch an intra-site HO is via the UU interface or via RLC trace (on the air interface).
