The global fw does not work on all 5G networks

Addition, patched bootloader and root is recommended.
You also need a TEMS token for full usage.
Token can be purchased by Infovista.

Seems this token is required atleast for some licenses.

does anyone have the driver for the on-device Xiaomi mi mix3 5G , or maybe can search for me in the infovista gls portal.
as although i have the license in my tems investigation (M license for the correct chipset SM8150/X50 Qualcomm M) as I have done all the prerequitsites,
enabled ADM and USB tethering ,enabled debugging etc.etc. but it seems the program(tems investigation 21 is looking for an on-device support, a driver i think. when im trying to connect UE-device equipment.

or has anyone come across this before and know what im actually missing

Do you have the 5G license for tems investigation aswell?
Seems it's maybe missing the ODM apks, not sure if you must temsify the phone and it may needs to be registered on GLS server aswell.

I will get hand son with those phones with Investigation within two weeks.

Yes, I have 5G license for tems 21 investigation.
When i try manual UE cannection, i with ADM = Air interface, I can see the equipment initialize
but never ready for activation (a red cross over EQ1)
I downloaded the latest drivers from Xiaomi official site, for composite device, but still not initalizing UE properly.
maybe ODM needed, does anyone know

We just plan to have the same fw, but need to unlock bootloader to root the device, maybe that is the problem for you that it does not activate?
We will install TEMS Pocket on them so yet not sure about TEMS Investigation

Xiaomi connection to Tems investigation, What seems to be missing is the Access to the modem in the phone. It says a QXDM Interphase is missing,
I know in a Samsung phone this Interphase can be got when get access to the phone modem,
usually in Samsung S5 at least this is done with *#0808#, Does you or anyone know the similar command for Xiaomi Mi Max3 phone that can give me access to my
Xiaomi modem. Snapdragon 855, SM8150 , I think its uses separate modem X50 internally.

Hi

I have now successfully got my Xiomi Mi Mix 3 5G working with TEMS Pocket and TEMS Investigation.
However, My phone is now temsifed. Before that I had to root the device, maybe there is your problem that it must be rooted?

I found this on XDA-developer but I guess it still needs root.

QPST_2.7.474.zip
QUD.WIN.1.1 Installer-10037.3 Setup.zip
Just use the standard settings and click on OK, next,

1.2 OPEN DIAGNOSTIC PORT FOR THE SESSION FOR QPST (WINDOWS CMD ADB)
cd C:/adb
adb devices
adb shell
su (you need to add root permisions on android screen)
setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet,adb

1.3 Once The Port is up you can use your Qualcomm Tools.

1.4 For example you can change the VOLTE/VOWIFI settings with PDC Tool
Select your device, right click on "Commercial" and deactivate Sub0 and Sub1
Click on Oversea-Commercial_DS again and click on remove -- DO NOT CLICK REMOVE, JUST DE-ACTIVATE IT - your settings stick after a reboot, so no longer need to remove the profile (at least on my device my profiles stick, also makes it easier to go back to default)

## FORCE ENABLE VOLTE AND VOWIFI BUTTONS IN ANDROID
cd C:/adb
adb devices
adb shell
su (you need to add root permisions on android screen)
setprop persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable 1; setprop persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr 1; setprop persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr 1; setprop persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1

what does your Tems status app look like, mine is attached.
usb mode = rndis, none, adb.

I think the apk they want you to load for "ïnstall on device to UE" sets this up, I think that's the problem, im not using pocket, just have investigation basic M licence. can you let me know what your usb mode is on your app Tems Status.

MTP,ADB is for TEMS Pocket, for Investigation you need to have RNDIS to access network.
I think one of the main reason is that your phone is not rooted and Investigation can not access the diagnostic interface.
I don't think it is possible to use it "out of the box" as by default the diagnostic interface is locked for access unrooted.

According to Infovista TEMS Investigation 22.x will not need to temsify a device etc.

ODM testing on commercial devices
From TEMS Investigation 22.0 it will be possible to measure the network performance seen from commercial devices without requiring them first to be modified (with TEMS firmware). This means that throughput testing of high data speeds in 5G NR networks can be achieved with commercial off the shelf devices.

This feature opens the door for customers to perform data service testing with almost every Android device on the market (not limited by supported chipsets an so on) and makes TEMS Investigation a very powerful choice for 5G testing.

Seems to be only data and perhaps regular CS, atleast on the Samsungs.
For Samsung VoLTE usually requires a specific license to decode SIP/RTP.

What I understood that you must enable the diagnostic interface , and in most cases this can only be done when the UE is rooted.
We have tested commercial nonTEMS phones and these seems very unstable.

How is you progress?
