Hi Experts,

Good day!

I just want to have some of your opinions regarding TDD Frame configuration and Special Subframe config? What is the best config for TDD? and what will be the benefits for each config?

Many Thanks
Cheers!

We use SA2 and SSP7 with preamble 0 and normal CP. This will give you about 14km coverage, but as in most case TDD means high frequency, you will not have more coverage than this anyway.

SA2 is most downlink heavy config --> 20MHz and 2x2 MIMO will give you about 110Mbits DL, around 12Mbits UL (16QAM), or 15-16Mbits UL@64QAM.
SA1 is balanced: 20MHz will give you about 65-70Mbits DL, 16-18Mbits UL@16QAM, around 26Mbits UL@64QAM
SA0 is really not useful for live networks, only if you want to put camera system behind (UL only traffic).

There are other SA configs, but those are most of the time require extra license (on Huawei for sure), and due to the 10ms switch periodicity, you latency will increase substantially. There is no reason to use those.

our current setting is SA2 and SSP7 preamble 0 and normal cp. also we are using 20mhz with 4x4 mimo.
thanks for the information. it means that we are using config for Heavy DL.

we have 2 different vendor H and N. they have same config SA2 SSP7, base from bench mark H is gaining very high tput 170mbps and N 150mbps but in UL H can only get 12Mbps and N is getting 25mbps
