Hi Experts,

is there any way to check PCI MOD3 using atoll, and if not please can you tell me about easier tool to use.

Formulas for calculating PCI for Atoll are described in Atoll_3.X.X_Technical_Reference_Guide_Radio

no I mean how can I get PCI MOD3 value from current existing PCI
for example:
what's PCI Mod3 value for PCI = 394

ВPerhaps you did not understand your question correctly. The PCI value is calculated as follows: PCI = SSS * 3 + PSS. You can interpret the formula as follows: PCI = Cell Group Namber * 3 + Cell Namber.
The value of PCI = 394 was obtained as follows: PCI = 131 * 3 + 1, where - 131 (SSS group (0-167); 1 - PSS (0,1,2)

Exactly, how did you reach this result?
is there a table or function?

Checking the PCI modulo "3" (a mod b) means finding the remainder of the division. Your example is PCI = 394. 394 mod 3 = 1.
More clearly: 394/3 = 131 + 1. Where 131 is a cell group identifier (SSS) (site), 1 is a cell number (PSS). In the case of a three sector base station:
PCI SSS PSS
395 131 2
394 131 1
393 131 0

Table PCI is possible. You can create the table yourself, taking into account the planning of using PCI for your network. Some info:
PCI is calculated based on the primary PSS and secondary synchronization signals SSS. The formula for calculating PCI: PCI = SSS * 3 + PSS.
The primary synchronization signal (PSS) consists of three 62-bit Zadova-Chu sequences with numbers 0, 1 and 2. These are complex sequences with good correlation properties that are easily distinguishable at reception. To eliminate interference, it is necessary that different synchro sequences (0,1,2) are used in neighboring cells.

The secondary SSS synchronization signal is a 62-bit M-sequence and is the identifier of a group of cells.
(or site ID). This cell group identifier can take a value from the range 0 ... 167. When planning a network for sites whose service areas are nearby or overlap, you must use different identifiers to reduce interference. There are a total of 168 different identifiers of groups of cells, so each of them can be repeated through several sites.

VERY GOOD SVALA PERFECT. THANK YOU

[/ QUOTE]

In Atoll PSS id shows PCI mod 3. Also you can make a prediction to find collision zones for which mod 3 of nearby cells conflict.
