Are you sure? E5788 is a LTE-A router based on Qualcomm MDM9x50 (not HiSilicon Balong) chipset

sorry，maybe the method i said above not work on this model。if this router has adb，maybe the port can be opened by command setprop。i don't see this device before，so you have to search it yourself。Good luck！

Yes, I agree with you. The only problem for supershuby is how to open a diagnostic port in this Huawei router based on Qualcomm chipset. I also don't have this expensive device.
