Hello people there over the world!!!

Looking for LTE E// timing advance counter...
I have tried looking on the DB for pmtimingadvance but no signs of existence, the SWver is CXP9024418, dont know exactly if is L16 or L17.
also in other post were mentioned other 2 counters but they dont have any info pegged.
I heard that the counter probably has to be activated, but since this is very common for rf engineers i have a doubt that it isnt activated, because in other project also i dont found it.

Thank you very much.

There are no pm counters in E******* for 4G timing advance (regardless of SW release).

The only way to view TA information is to set up a cell trace and capture the event:

INTERNAL_PER_RADIO_UE_MEASUREMENT_TA

(UE level measurements with Timing Alignment information sent periodically (approximately 1 per minute- 60 samples)

Note that a prerequisite for capturing this event is the feature FAJ 121 2025 Enhanced Cell ID in Traces being active.

Dear wolverine (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php/6992-wolverine)
How can we read those cell trace logs?
I created a LTE cell trace (LTE RAN 17), the outputs are xml format.
Brgs.

Dear Wolverine, is there a way to calculate a timing advance distribution or something like that from ENIQ counters???
Thankyou very much.

You should be able to export in csv format and open in excel.

Hi,

As i checked there is no way to find the TA distribution "Per Cell" via this message straight forward. Have you tried it before ?

So whats E// point of view, all the other vendors provide this. Why they want to keep this closed if the others show this. BI???

In order to activate INTERNAL_PER_RADIO_UE_MEASUREMENT_TA message, mentioned by wolverine, you need to to activate CHR calltrace on PMS. In 2 words it would be the following:
- open PMS
- select LTE Cell trace profiles
- Add profile, add name...
- select managed element, cells
- next step you need to select messages, including the one with TA

hope that would help.

Good point... dont know why it’s complicated in 2G and 4G... while in 3G you get Propagationdelay easily.
