Hi all,

I am looking for the Nokia LTE parameters that are used for traffic balancing.

For example

i. Parameters of LTE (FDD) to balance traffic between other layers of LTE.
ii. Parameters of LTE (FDD) to throw traffic on 3G layers. (including CSfallback priority).
iii. Parameters for LTE (FDD) to throw traffic on GSM Layers. (including CSfallback priority).

Any guide or powerpoint presentation with examples which can be shared then I really appreciate it.

My objective is to keep traffic in 4G as much as possible (including VoLTE traffic). Please suggest

Hi

Below set of parameters will help in load balancing feature for layering between the LTE.

Thanks Plannerguy, how about moving traffic from 3G to 4G in Nokia?

Hi,

In my network, actInterFreqLB is disabled but actAmle is enabled.

Does it make any difference ?

I see load is not balanced !

Also any idea how to move traffic from 3G to 4G (both Nokia vendor) layers and keep it in 4G.

my opinion on these 2 featre in nokia as follows

actInterFreqLB is within enodeB (intra ENB) balancing. This also applies to common bbu, wherein you have multiple bands within site.
actAmle would be a way to balance traffic to other site / frequency using internal qci calculation, CAC and PRB.

your other question to balance 3g to 4g, most networks configured 4g to be higher piority vs 3G so if ue supports both lte and 3g in idle mode it will go to lte.
also nokia have 3g feature fast return to lte upon idle, disconnect. maybe you can extend the minimum signal level in lte even lower? hehehe
