LTE GAP measurement Stop via A2 or A1 ?

Dears,

it’s clear that, for LTE, Event A2 will trigger the GAP measurement when reported.

However, I am confused about how the UE will exit the GAP measurement if the serving cell is getting better. Is that by:

- Leaving A2 condition: Ms - Hys > A3InterFreqHoA2ThdRsrp

Or

- Entering A1 condition: Ms - Hys > A3InterFreqHoA1ThdRsrp

It depends on the vendor implementation, but typically A1.

From 3GPP point of view, you can report an event when the condition is met, and/or it is no longer met (leaving condition). So for example, if a vendor decide to use the entering condition of A2 to trigger measurements, it could also use the leaving condition to stop measurements.
