Hi mates
We have a high number of incoming LTE PS HO failure on one RNC with failure cause = LTE_PS_IN_PREP_FAIL_RNL
description says its radio cause but nothing more. does anyone experienced this before ?
Thx a lot

Hello,
Could you give some more details of the problem? Statistics etc?

Might be worth checking the following:
1. Feature is enabled on the RNC
2. 3G target cell(s) are not congested
3. 3G target cell(s) actually exist on that RNC (sometimes re-parenting of 3G cells will lead to cells pointing to the wrong RNC on the 4G databuild)

could you please check the Handover_Preparation_Failure causes using S1 Trace

Dear,
RNL can be low parameters configured also in the target RNC cell so do a parameter compare with CME.
Question: are you using huawei or other vendor?

Dear
I faced same problem for 3G. basically, Radio cause fail occurred due to improper neighbor planning and long-distance neighbor. Y
ou can follow below instruction:
> LTE to 3G Ho fail attempt cell wise .
> 3G to LTE Ho fail attempt cell wise .
Then delete unnecessary and long distance neighbor and add necessary neighbor. Hopefully problem will be solved.

HI GUYS
thx for feedback but the pb is not related to cell distance (it is preparation phase).
it can be congested or parameter config/license ..
i need a feedback from someone who experienced it
vendor = Nokia
