Dears,

How can I improve the bad EcNo, Do you have any document for this ? or any solution for Huawei network
How can i analyze this problem?

You can analyze the problem with scanner. Try to deploy 3rd carrier on UMTS network, it will solve the problem if it is due to capacity....

hello Mali,
good to see you are around.. The important thing is to understand the concept od EcNo and when we can call it bad quality ...
EcNo is RSCP/RssI and it is an indicator of potential bad quality but itself doesn't mean bad quality due to usage of power control...
when you are using HSDPA, the remaining cell power will be used for HSDPA (whatever is lnot used for R99) up to cell maximum power capability.. So RSSI will be higher to give you a sense and as a rough estimation I mention an example
imagine CPICH power is 32 dBm and maximum cell power is 46 dBm and EcNo will be worst than 32-46=-14 dB when HSDPA is used So does it mean EcNo around -14 dB is bad ??No... that is the nature of technology
so what you can do to improve the EcNo
1) reducing the cell overlapping
2) Reducing overshooting
3) slightly increasing CPICH power ( it is affecting the coverage and traffic and throughput)
4)limiting maximum allowed power for HSDPA ( it may decrease the throughput)

cheers

Hi,

Beside well explained above by Babak one more action could help you which is increasing maximum number allowed RL in AS from 3 to 4. Practically EcNo will improve but the disadvantages is reducing HS Throughput

1-check pilot pollution
2-check missing neighbors
3-check overshooting
4-check interference (RTWP)

thank you for feedback guys . You are the best :) I found problem is bad RTWP -95.

Good, but why RTWP is high? due to load or external interference ?

hello Mali,
RTWP is for Uplink and it is nothing to do on EcNo which is an indicator of DL quality
RTWP could be high due to different reason:
1) missing neigbors
2) 2 neigboring site might not be synchronized on clock level
3) high load
4) external interference
5) poor Rach parameters
6) grant rotation is disabled for EUL
.......
