AMM 2p B and AMM 6p C/D can be supplied by +24 V DC or –48 V DC. However, if the subrack is equipped with an LTU 155 ANSI,, SMU2, , MMU2 H with HW R-state earlier than R3A, MMU2 K, MMU3 A, or MMU3 B, then the AMM must be supplied by –48 V DC.If only +24 V DC is available, a PSU DC/DC Kit can be used to convert +24 V DC to –48 V DC. See Installing a PSU DC/DC Kit.

You will need a DC/DC converter. Either your own, or E/// provided one.

PSU DC/DC Kit

The PSU DC/DC kit is used for AMM 20p B, converting +24 V DC to –48 V DC with a maximum output power of 950 W. It consists of a sub-rack (3U high), one or two Power Supply Units (PSU) and an FAU3. Two PSUs are used for redundant power systems. See Figure 157.

The +24 V DC external power supply is connected to the PSU front.
The sub-rack provides two –48 V DC connectors for PFU connection. Two fused –48 V DC connectors for FAU1 connection are also available.
The sub-rack can be mounted in a standard 19" or metric rack or on a wall using a dedicated mounting set.
