Supported AMR Codec

in GSM, we could define supported AMR codec from BSC/ Cell side
just I'm wondering

Do we have same option in UMTS to configure AMR Codec from RNC/Cell side
if Yes, which parameter please !

There is an option from RNC side : Setting AMRC Algorithm Parameters

Setting the Adaptive Multi-Rate Control (AMRC) algorithm parameters of an RNC, such as downlink power measurement thresholds, uplink and downlink mode change waiting timer length.

Parameters: UL Reporting Mode, DL Measurement Reporting Period, DL E1 Event Relative Threshold, DL E2 Event Relative Threshold, DL F1 Event Relative Threshold, DL F2 Event Relative Threshold, UL Mode Change Timer Length, DL Mode Change Waiting Timer Length, Max Mode of Narrowband AMRC for Golden Users, Max Mode of Narrowband AMRC for Silver Users, Max Mode of Narrowband AMRC for Copper Users.

AMR service measurment<per RNC>

cells:
Measuremet related to radio bearer -> RB procedure measumernt per cell

WBAMR voice : VS.RB.AMRWB.DL/UL.xx.xx
AMR voice: VS.RB.AMR.DL/UL.x.xx

Hi,

Thats right, but if you dont have config "code set" in the CN (its depend of the vendor) it doesnt work !! CN should be able to give the codec requested! . by the way, AMRC for HW it is a feature that sometimes its not included.
