Experts.....

On opening the an excel file I get this error "Unable to create Mapinfo table from file. Please check that the file is valid and available for write access"

Tried both xlsx and xls but I get the same error. How can I resolve this problem which I never encountered with mapinfo 15

Update.....

Changed excel file to csv and it worked
