UMTS to LTE redirection : Huawei

Dear all,

Does any one tested UMTS to LTE redirection in connected mode. For my network, the only way to switch from UMTS to LTE is via reselection (UE in Cell PCH or idle mose state) ?

What are the + and - for activating U2L redirection ? any obvious impact on your network if tested ?

Hi Fahmi,

We have activated switch (Release with Redirect, DCHtoFach), its far better rather than entering in to URA/Idle state.

the Impact can be checked in very controlled scenario, i.e lab tests only.
