Just want share something.
Maybe it can be useful and hopefully no one have made same thread.
The methodology to convert the capacity to number of voice users is as
follows:
· From the“Trafficdescriptor” of any “VC”, we can obtain the “Cells Per Sec”.
· From the“Cells Per Sec”, we can convert this into “bits/sec available for voice withAAL2”
by
o “bits/sec available forvoice with AAL2” = (Cell Per Sec) * (45 payload) * (8 bits
per byte)
· From the“bits/sec available for voice with AAL2” , we can convert this into “number of
12.2kbvoice calls” by
o “number of 12.2kb voicecalls” = “bits/sec available for voice with AAL2” / 12200
