I hope someone can help me with the following ,

I have a MTP850ex with the following specifications ;

Model name,
MTP850ex UHF LKP ATEX PT911BSEx .
Radio Version ,
Clear No- E2E ( 8661/7492 )

Firmware image ,
R15.000.8661 .

I just want DMO channels on the radio. Where do I begin . I have a USB cable for this radio. All I see now is the radio version is not supported by CPS please import the correct release packet first .

Okay that's great , but where can I find this. Can I download it somewhere. Previously, I always worked with ******** GP340 and it was easy but this is something else . I have this MPT850ex two weeks now but I have been more than a kilo of aspirin swallowed .
So please help me and point me in the right direction .

You need TETRA CPS plus 6.2 or higher to program your radio.

I have CPS Plus 7.1 but this requires a license to activate. How do I get a license , and where can I find it.
To be clear , I'm totally alien in this field and need all the help I can get.

Thanks for all the help so far, the program works now . Now I have another problem with the codeplug , I forgot the password. Normally I use than TetraCPS Code Plug Recovery v1.0 but it does not work . Maybe someone knows another way to recover the code plug .

Do you want to know password of a saved codeplug? Or you want to know a password while read your radio?

It is the pass word of the read device . I always use a password with my serial number in it. But I can not remember it . I do not need the code plug because I want to start over. Is it possible to override this code plug. How do i go from here.
On the Internet is not much to be found about the MTP850ex I had to buy another model. But because I work at a refinery I chose this model . I hope I can do something with it

Do you have back up codeplug of your MTP850EX?? You can over write with the codeplug..

I do not have a backup codeplug and retrive will not work because it says each time again , requires password verification .
Does anyone have a code plug for me so I can rewrite it.

I think you can not write other codeplug (not from your radio's codeplug) to your radio.. Is not a good idea..

Why do you think 'retrieve' will not work ?
Just post or PM the codeplug, and password could be removed or retrieved.

Go to CPS properties (options) and select save backup CP (usually selected by default), so you will have a local codeplug copy, post it....

Radio works perfectly with all the help from you
I am for the time being still busy with this radio because it is very extensive
