2G Data speed low

2g data speed is low. We have checked all the config but nothing is working. upto MCS 9 we are getting /.But whaterver it may be. mobile is getting allotted only one TS PDTCH. Eqpt:NORTEL
Any suggestion recommendations pl/

Do you try to increase number of PDCH available ? In ALU system, we have 02 parameters called MIN_PDCH and MAX_PDCH
If 2G voice traffic is high, I think you should increase more TRX and then increase more Min, Max_PDCH

In my case even if MIN PDTCH is 3, only one TS is getting allotted. We are trying to find the reason. Could not find any solution.

It's so strange. Pls check again the Max_PDCH ( higher than Min ).
CS traffic ? TBF Assigment in busy hour ?
Check again Abis capacity for site ? And does it happens with whole network or only 01 site ?

This is for whole network, Even with 2 Abis per site.
Window size is always same.
Is there anything at PCUSN or SGSN . could not solve this problem.
we are having 4 AGPRS between BSC and PCU.

Mean that you only have 4 E1 for GPRS / 01 BSC ?
Pls increase more for GPRS , base on TBF assignment in busy hour , at leas in busy hour , 80% capacity of GPRS is max using

1. Check for PS % use or congestion;
2. check for number of PDCH used and adjust if necessary;
3. MCS9 provides the highest bitrate for EDGE, but you have to grant that the BTS is EGPRS cappable (TRX must be as well);
4. if previous points are ok, then you should have proper number of resources provided (make sure you use default RF parameters) if problems still exist you must be experiencing interference.

tip: traffic data is typically configured in BCCH TRX, if this one is interfered and you want to try a quick fix, try to switch traffic allocation by switching CS traffic to BCCH and PS to TCH.
