Microwave planning site survey

Hi,
Has anyone did a MW site survey for radio planning, to ensure that the sites are suitable for the microwave transmission use by verifying the line of sight between intended site candidates. If so, can you help me with advices, documents, procedures. I'll be very grateful.

I gave kaka.enine 10x too.The documents are very good and I am going to read them, but I wanted to know whether if actually someone did this survey to gave me some practical advice and info.

what do yu want to know about LOS survey ??

for a new site ?
for an existing site ?
for Short haul or Long haul ?
for access site/hub site/backbone site ?

I need to know for both- links between existing sites and existing and a new site. What things have to be taken into consideration when you do the survey.
It will be useful to share the knowledge for the short and long haul.What is the difference between them in terms of survey.
